Broker Scoring Methodology

We use 6 criteria to evaluate every broker, with safety weighted the highest. Some scores are automatically calculated from real data for full transparency and objectivity.

Overall Score Formula

Total Score = (Safety x 50%) + (Spreads x 15%) + (Minimum x 10%) + (Platform x 5%) + (Local x 10%) + (Bonus x 10%)

Safety / Regulation

Weight: 50%

Evaluated based on the number and quality of regulatory licenses held by the broker. Brokers with Tier-1 licenses (FCA, ASIC) receive higher scores.

Factors considered:
  • Number of licenses held
  • Tier level of regulatory bodies
  • Regulatory compliance history
  • Segregated Accounts for client funds

Spreads & Fees

Weight: 15%

Measured by the average spread on major currency pairs (EUR/USD, GBP/USD), including commissions and other fees.

Factors considered:
  • Average spread on Major pairs
  • ECN/Raw account commissions
  • Overnight Swap fees
  • Other hidden fees

Minimum Deposit

Weight: 10%

Automatically calculated from the actual minimum deposit amount. Brokers with lower minimums score higher, making it easier for beginners to get started.

Factors considered:
  • Minimum deposit amount (converted to USD)
  • Supported deposit methods
  • Local payment support

Platform / Tools

Weight: 5%

Automatically calculated from supported platforms and tools. MT5 receives the highest score, followed by MT4, cTrader, and other features.

Factors considered:
  • MT5 (25 points), MT4 (10), cTrader (5)
  • Copy Trade (20), TradingView (5), Mobile App (5)
  • Crypto CFD (10), US Stocks (10), Other Assets (10)

Weight: 10%

Evaluates the quality of local support, including website localization, live chat, email, and phone support.

Factors considered:
  • Dedicated local support staff
  • Multilingual website
  • Support availability hours
  • Response quality

Weight: 10%

Evaluates available bonuses and promotions, including terms of use and withdrawal conditions.

Factors considered:
  • Welcome Bonus / No-Deposit Bonus
  • Ongoing promotions
  • Bonus withdrawal conditions
  • Trading competitions and prizes

Regulation Tiers (Tier System)

We classify regulatory bodies into 3 tiers based on their strictness and level of investor protection.
